These are some rules for eating from my new favorite book, "Food Rules", by Michael Pollan. Every week I will post 3 new ones that i will explain at my Cinch meetings that week.

1. Eat Food,
2. Don't eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn't recognize as food.
3. Avoid food containing ingredients that no ordinary human would keep in the pantry.
4. Avoid food products that contain high-fructose corn syrup.
5. Avoid foods that have some form of sugar (or sweetener) listed among the top 3 ingredients.)
6. Avoid food products that contain  more than 5 ingredients.
7. Avoid food products containing ingredients that a third grader cannot pronounce.
8. Avoid food products that make health claims.
9. Avoid food products with the word "lite" or the terms "low-fat" or "non-fat" in their names.
10. Avoid foods that are pretending to be something they are not.
11. Avoid foods you see advertised on TV.
12. Shop the peripheries...outskirts.lol! of the supermarket and stay out of the middle.
13.Eat only foods that will eventually rot.
14. Eat foods made from ingredients that you can picture in their raw state or growing in nature.ex...cheez-itz, or poptarts...jk!
15. Get out of the supermarket whenever you can.
16. Buy your snacks at the farmers markets.
17. Eat only foods that have been cooked by humans.
18. Don't ingest foods made in places where everyone is required to wear a surgical cap.
19. If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don't.
20. It is not food if it arrived through the window of your car.
21. It's not food if it's called by the same name in every language. (think Big mac, Cheetos, or Pringles.)
22. Eat mostly plants, especially leaves.
23. Treat meat as a flavoring or a special occasion food.
24. Eating what stands on one leg(mushroom) is better than eating whats on 2 legs(fowl), which is better than eating whats standing on 4(cow).
25. Eat your colors.
26. Drink the spinach water
27. Eat animals that have eaten well.
28. If you have the space, buy a freezer
29. Eat like an omnivore
30. Eat well grown food from healthy soil
31. Eat wild foods when you can
32. Don't overlook the oily little fishes
33. Eat some food that have been predigested by bacteria and fungi
34, Sweeten and salt your food yourself
35. Eat sweet foods as you find them in nature
36. Don't eat breakfast cereals that change the color of your milk
37. THE WHITER THE BREAD THE SOONER YOU WILL BE DEAD!!!!LOVE THIS ONE!!!!
38.FLAVOR THE KINDS OF OILS AND GRAINS THAT HAVE BEEN TRADITIONALLY STONE-GROUND...OOPS NOT SUPER COOL RULE...
39. Eat all the junk you want as long as you cook it yourself...be careful tho!
40. BE THE KIND OF PERSON WHO TAKES SUPPLEMENTS~SHAKLEE!!!
41. Eat more like the French, or Japanese, or Greeks....NOT AMERICANS!
42. Regard nontraditional foods with skepticism
43. HAVE A GLASS OF WINE WITH DINNER!!!LOVE IT!
44. Pay more, eat less
45. Eat less

Feta Chicken and Zucchini

Feta Chicken and  Zucchini Ingredients 2 tablespoons oil 1 lemon 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 pounds) 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 2 medium zucchini 1/4 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves, chopped 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1/3 cup (about 2 ounces) crumbled Feta Directions Heat oven to 400° F. Drizzle ½ tablespoon of the oil in a roasting pan. Remove the zest from the lemon in thin strips; set aside. Thinly slice the lemon. Place half the slices in the pan. Place the chicken on top of the lemon slices and season with 1/8 teaspoon of the salt. Slice each zucchini in half lengthwise, then slice each half into ¼-inch-thick half-moons. In a bowl, combine the zucchini, parsley, and pepper and the remaining oil, lemon slices, and salt; toss. Spread the mixture around the chicken and sprinkle the Feta over the top. Shaklee Truffles

1 1/2 cups Shaklee energizing soy vanilla  protein 1cup organic oats 1cup Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Cereal or Organic Granola 1 cup dries cranberries 1/2 cup organic ground flaxseeds... Must be ground 1/2 unsweetened shredded coconut (optional) 1 cup very dark chocolate chips or organic dark chocolate bar chopped In a sauce pan bring 3/4 cup honey  to boil To hot honey and 1 tablespoon vanilla To honey mixture add 1 generous cup of peanut butter...melt chocolate in and stir Combine peanut butter, honey mixture with dry ingredients ,if too dry add a little water When thoroughly mixed, roll into balls with wet hands Refrigerate until served
