stress foods revised!!!

You will wake up your metabolism and keep it burning all day…allowing it to work for you, not against you.

EAT IT TO BEAT IT~STRESS~BE GONE!

  1. BLUEBERRIES~Powerful punch of antioxidants, making them stress~busters as well as waistline slimmers! They actually chew the fat out of your belly! A must on the organic list, frozen is best price.
  2. AVOCADO~Chock full of B vitamins for healthy nerves and brain cells. Anxiety is often linked to Vitamin B deficiency. Also avocados are full of healthy monounsaturated fat that are amazing for you, helping lower blood pressure.
  3. ASPARAGUS~ Loaded with B vitamins including folic acid that is sure to beat depression! B complex(all essentials) vitamins are called the “happy or stress” vitamins:)
  4. MILK~ Full of protein, calcium, and B’s. All very calming for the body and blood pressure. Milk can also help relieve muscle spasms triggered by feeling tense.
  5. SALMON~Omega 3 fatty acids keep cortisol and adrenaline from spiking. #1 source of omega 3’s! So amazing for your heart and you waistline too! my fav food!!!!
  6. SPINACH~ Be like Popeye! BTW..only 14 calories in 2 cups!really? A very comforting food as it is rich in minerals that help regulate  cortisol levels and keep you feeling good all day! My total go~to! Wonderful in salads, eggs, raw or cooked, and the best frozen with kale in green smoothies! Super cheap to get organically too!
  7. ALMONDS AND WALNUTS~ Get your stress relief munch on! Vitamins B and E both boost immune systems in times of stress. If you have never had organic almond butter~welcome to heaven! 2Tablespoons with an apple keeps you fighting cravings for sweets! I promise!
  8. OATS~ Oats get the calming hormone serotonin flowing. Go for steel cut (less processed), or organic regular oats for granola and baking. Oats are full of good complex barbs, slow digesting that keep you fuller longer and energized!
  9. DARK CHOCOLATE~YEAH!!! 70% OR Darker if you can… Totally loaded with antioxidants , polyphenols, and flavonols! Mood enhancing and heart healthy! I swear by 1-2 small squares daily. When we allow in something organic and sweet daily, we are less likely to feel deprived and go for traditional sweets. A nutrient~filled treat!
  10. HERBAL REMEDIES~ A cup of chamomile tea before bed~say ahhh! God had given us so many natural herbs and remedies vs. medications. I know not everyone wants an organic holistic approach, but He gave s so much good! St. Johns wart, ginseng, and chamomile are just a few proven effective for taking away stress. Calcium magnesium works wonders too…i chew them before bed nightly.
